We don’t want to boss you around and tell you what to do.
But we do want to help you live your best life.
Sometimes that means shattering everything you thought you knew into tiny pieces.

Granted, if you currently do something that works for you, keep on keeping on!
However, there are some beauty products you might not be using in the best way.
Bobby pins
Our lives changed the second we realized we were using Bobby pins the wrong way.

They never seem to stay in place, do they?
That’s because you’ve been putting them in upside-down.
The squiggly part should go against your scalp, not the flat side.

The bumps create more grip so your style won’t fall out.
Spritz hairspray on your pin first.
Eye cream
Many people apply eye cream too aggressively.

The skin around the windows to your soul is very thin and sensitive!
Be nice to it.
Your ring finger has the lightest touch and is perfect for applying cream to such a sensitive area.

SPF is your BFF when it comes to preventing wrinkles, sunspots, and skin cancer.
Put it on every single day, whether it’s cloudy or not!
If you already wear it on the regular, great!

But double-check you’re reapplying every few hours, especially if you spend a lot of time outside.
Now, it’s a little difficult to apply SPF after you’ve already done your makeup.
Do yourself a favor and get powdered SPF that you’re able to apply throughout the day.

Exfoliants
Put down the face scrub.
Exfoliants should only be used two or three times a week.
Dry shampoo
Have you ever used dry shampoo and then wound up with a stark white scalp?

Yeah, it’s not fun.
Spritz it along your roots in sections.
Then wait one minute to let it soak in before rubbing it into your scalp.
Remember: less is more.
Makeup sponge
Sponges are great makeup tools, especially when used correctly.
If you’re rocking a dry makeup sponge, you’re doing it wrong.
Thoroughly wet your sponge, and squeeze out any excess water.
Then bounce your sponge on your face to build up coverage in stages.
This will lead to a much more natural and long-lasting finish.
When you apply mascara, it makes your lashes a little sticky.
Combine that with a lash curler, and you have a dangerous situation.
Don’t risk it.
Instead, curl your lashes before putting on mascara.
You’ll get a better look and won’t rip your lashes out.
