Doesn’t sound likethatmuch of an awkward slip-up, right?
And the fallout from the slip-up was really awkward.
But Page quickly apologized on camera and said, “You’re Senator Harris to me.”

The localEmpower Wisconsinhad more on the awkward encounter.
“I know you want to take some questions before you get out of here.”
“If you don’t mind letting me finish, then we can have a conversation.”

Even though most of us were watching from home, the awkwardness was palpable.
Harris said, laughing off the question.
Who also, you know, l likes hip-hop.

Like, what do you wanna know?"
she said, keeping up the awkward laugh.
O’Donnell was stone cold, which just made the encounter that much worse.

Pence’s answer clearly did not sit with Kamala Harris well because she clapped back.
And yes, this is when the fly made its way onto the screen.
After the debate, MSNBC’sRachel Maddowasked Harrisabout the strange encounter.

“We could see it at home.
Could you see it sitting next to him?”
Laughing, she also asked if Harris wanted to shoo it away.

To which, Harris responded, “Oh George, it wasn’t about you!”
Not the best moment for Harris, that’s for sure.
Remember when Joe Biden called Kamala Harris this nickname during a hot mic moment?

It seems like debates are really venues for awkward moments caught on camera because this one takes the cake.
As noted bySFGate,Biden said the following to Harris.
“Go easy on me, kid,” in a very awkward, very avoidable moment.

“How are you doing, you good?”
Harris responded to Biden’s opening line, clearly avoiding his jovial and slightly insulting nickname.
Samstweeted, clearly indicating his disdain for the nickname and Biden’s categorization of the senator.

All in all, the exchange was as awkward as you’re imagining.
Clearly the line was a pivot tactic that did not go well.
That’s groundbreaking, no matter your political preferences.

She called his track record with them “very hurtful” and all but forced Biden to apologize.
Instead of rebuking the language used, Harris laughed and said, “Well said.”
Is America ready for that?"

some shouted at the candidate.
The whole thing was painfully awkward.
