This morning, the news broke that iconic television interviewerLarry Kinghad passed away at age 87.
Additionally,CNNreported that one of King’s surviving sons, Chance, confirmed his passing.
Though no cause of death has been given, King had been in the hospital after beingdiagnosed with COVID-19.
After suffering a series ofheart attacks, King received quintuple bypass surgery in 1987 (via CNN).
That same year, it was also reported that he had suffered a small stroke.
“My father died when he was 43, 44.
I thought I would die too,” he told the outlet.
“I have no complaints,” King continued.
“Everything that’s happened to me, I’m grateful for.
Maybe that sounds cliche, but I’m really, really grateful.”
