Sadly,Leachman diedon Jan. 26, 2021 at the age of 94.
On the show, Leachman played Mary Tyler Moore’s landlord.
The two were friends, but Leachman’s character wasn’t always the easiest to be around.
However,Mary Tyler Moorewasn’t Leachman’s only claim to fame.
“We did about 15 takes.
I hear him laughing, and I have not said anything.
I just tickled him to pieces.
Everything I did in the movie ticked Gene to pieces.
And it was so much fun to work with him.”
