The last two months have been a bit of a whirlwind forProperty Brothers’Jonathan ScottandNew Girl’sZooey Deschanel.
In early September,Peoplereported that Deschanel and her husband, Jacob Pechenik,had splitafter a months-long separation.
On September 13, Scott was still playing coy withUs Weekly, saying, “I am seeing someone.
I’m a very private person, so I don’t typically talk about that.
I was caught a little off guard.
It was definitely a pleasant surprise.”

Drew chimed in, adding one more important requirement to the list of prospective partners for his brother.
“And they need to realize there’s an approval process,” he said.
“I have my ‘good for Jonathan’ checklist.
[Zooey and Jonathan are] both amazing people, and I think it’s great.
We have a lot of the same interests, we have quirky personalities,” he said.
With his brother’s stamp of approval, what more could Jonathan need?
