Kelly Clarksonlooked a lot different this week on her talk show,The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Clarkson surprised fans when she appeared on the show wearing an eyepatch.
Thankfully, nothing is seriously wrong and she’s maintained a sense of humor about the whole ordeal.
“I hurt my eye and I have to wear it.
And, so, it’s ridiculous.
You’re being interviewed by a pirate today.
Have you ever been interviewed by a pirate? "
Clarkson joked that she was going to make the eye patch her new look.
TheAmerican Idolwinner added, “My next album cycle is this.
No one’s doing it.”

How did Clarkson injure her eye?
She explained onCalifornia Livethat she has a dust allergy.
“Something got in there, maybe cut it, did something,” she said.
“It got infected.”
The injury happened when she was doing a shoot forThe Voice.
“We did six shows total because we did two shows a day,” she said.
“Three days I had to wear a patch.
Those are not consecutive, man.
