Whether you’re a royal or a commoner, being a mom is hard.
Kate Middletoncertainly felt the pressure of becoming a new mom.
Prince William also had to spend periods of time away from home to fulfill his duties.
The couple were living in Wales then, and were far from their family and friends.
All of this took a toll on Middleton.
The center is both a kindergarten and a place where parents can get support.
“It’s nice to be back in Wales,” said the royal (viaPeople).
“I was chatting to some of the mums.
Middleton revealed that life as a new mother was quite lonely for her.
“It was so isolated, so cut off,” she said.
“I didn’t have any family around, and he was doing night shifts.
So… if only I had had a center like this.”
Middleton also spent some time talking to the children in the center.
“She got down to their level to speak to them in an age appropriate way.
She was really friendly.”
