That’s a healthy takeaway from a potentially damaging situation, for sure!

So her predisposition to comedic antics and performance was pretty much in her DNA.

So to help Bell blend in, her mother gave her a boyish haircut.

“I was pretty scrappy,” she explained onThe Late Late Show with James Corden.

“I was always like, ‘What are you talking about?'”

Our girl was accepting out of the gate!

“I just wanted to hang out and talk about hockey.

But since she got cast in Broadway shows before graduation, she dropped out before finishing.

“I came prepared for the call back.

I came prepared for the test.

I sat by the phone waiting.”

No wonder she got the role.

“Yeah, it worked out great,” she continued.

“But to think I had much choice … “I’m very proactive with my career,” she explained in an interview withCosmopolitan.

I want to work.”

Talk about a dream job!

“My character was very princess-y, very entitled, and the sisters Anna and Elsa were enemies.”

And that was not something Bell wanted to be a part of.

for calm things down, the couple saw a therapist to learn how to be better to one another.

“We still fight, but don’t take disagreements to heart,” she continued.

Interestingly enough, however, Bell wasn’t always certain that she wanted to have children.

“But across the board, everyone said it was unmissable.”

So she and her husband decided to start a family together.

“I’ll work out and eat healthy, but I’m not desperate to shed the weight.”

That’s a refreshingly healthy perspective, especially given the standards women are held to in Hollywood.

But Bell really does have her priorities straight.

“Body image is what you make of it,” she continued.

“I refuse to compare myself to anyone anymore.

I’ve done it; it didn’t make me feel good.

I don’t like comparison hangovers.”

Louder again for the people in the back, Kristen!

Our girl is in demand.

That doesn’t mean that Bell is thinking about retirement, or that she plans to slow down.

“I get my self-esteem from [providing for] my children now.

The girls need us, and feeling needed is a good feeling.”

Depression and anxiety?

She also noted, “I shatter a little bit when I think people don’t like me.”

That’s the reason Bell went on medication when she was younger.

Bell compares her need for medication to a diabetic’s need for insulin.

“It’s also deeply, deeply meaningful.

I don’t think anyone will see it coming.”

If only every show could end up like that!

Could directing be in Kristen Bell’s future?

However, her sensitivity to other women in the business has caused her to act with caution.

“I’ve never taken the opportunity because I didn’t go to school for directing.”

And since other women have, she was leery about stealing their jobs.

It was a great way to stretch my wings."

Hopefully she’ll be able to do it again in the future!

“It’s a never-ending thought process,” she shared in a 2019 interview withRefinery29.

Because it’s constantly adjusting to the world, the variables, and the people around you."

“I still vacillate with being insecure all the time,” she continued.

And when I can live by that I feel pretty damn good."

Those are words to live by!
