During John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign, Psaki served as deputy press secretary.
Psaki is married with two children and lives in Virginia with her family.
Former President Barack Obama spoke highly of Psaki when she was appointed as communications director in 2015.

Psaki also received a ringing endorsement in 2011 from then-White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer.
“There is no smarter or better person in politics today than Jen Psaki,” he toldPolitico.
